Make your own felt beads with wool roving, learning both needle-felting and wet felting techniques. The next day, pick up your beads at Bead in Hand and incorporate them into your own one-of-a-kind necklace using additional glass seed and accent beads, flexible wire and a base metal clasp. You’ll learn both felted beadmaking skills and basic beading skills in this two-part class.
Instructors: Pamela Penney & Kate Linne
Pamela Penney is an accomplished textile artist and owner of Pamela Penney Textile Arts. Kate Linne is an employee and beadwork instructor at Bead in Hand as well as an art teacher for Oak Park Park District.
