Recycled Tin Bracelet Workshop

Art Gecko

Sunday October 10, 2010
1:30-3:30 PM

Create a one-of-kind bracelet from a recycled vintage coffee can, metal lunchbox, spice, fruit-cake, cookie or band-aid tin. There will be a variety of tins available to work with, but feel free to bring one with a pattern or design you like, if you’d prefer.
Instructor: Lisa Nordstrom.
Lisa Nordstrom is known for her sometimes serious, sometimes whimsical mixed media constructions that often tell stories, reflect on the human condition and relay the wonders and worries of life's situations. Her work is influenced by tales, myths, humor, human nature and personal journeys, as well as quotes and snippets she's gathered along her way. Lisa's been "making stuff" most of her life, usually working with common and found objects to create something else entirely. High School art classes fueled her passion to create before she attended Ray-Vogue School of Design and Columbia College. She is the owner of Art Gecko, a gallery in the Oak Park Arts District that also serves as her studio.
