Hawaiian Hula Dancing

Oak Park Public Library MAZE Branch

Monday October 11, 2010
10:30 - 11:15 am

Come experience the tropical beauty of Hawaii in Oak Park through it's hula dances, stories and songs! You'll see a demonstration of authentic hula and then learn how to hula yourself! Learn basic hand motions for the sun and moon, wind, ocean, flowers! And basic steps so you can sway with the breezes gently tickling the coconut trees. And then you'll put them together and learn a fun hula dance.

Hula is a great gentle yet powerful exercise grounding you on the earth. You'll feel like you are in Hawaii - that's a guarantee!
